我们的名字
eBay易趣取自“易趣”与“eBay”的结合。易趣于1999年8月成立，其含义为“交易的乐趣”。而“eBay” 取自全球最成功的电子商务网站eBay Inc.。两个企业结合而成的名字蕴涵着中国与世界最领先的电子商务网站的强强联手与紧密合作。这个名字向用户传达了我们是即中国又世界、即本土又全球的网上交易平台?。
我们的公司
易趣网络信息服务（上海）有限公司和上海易趣贸易有限公司于1999年8月成立，并共同运营易趣网。2002年3月，易趣获得美国最大的电子商务公司eBay的3000万美元的注资，并同其结成战略合作伙伴关系，2003年6月，易趣获得eBay追加的1.5亿美元投资，并成为eBay全球大家庭中的一员。2004年7月，易趣网推出新品牌“eBay易趣”?。
